Being Jennifer

The title is from one of my favorite films "Being Julia". I love it because it's partly about an aging actress learning how to become comfortable in her own skin...something I'm slowly starting to figure out (and accept).

Seriously?!

They're playing CHRISTMAS music on K103 "Your Christmas Music Station". Someone needs to get those poor people a calendar.

K103, really? Like the SOFT ROCK station? I wouldn't have pegged you for a soft rock listener.

Oh right, the point. AFTER THANKSGIVING PEOPLE. The Christmas season does not begin until AFTER THANKSGIVING. Back away from the flocked tree. Put down the tinsel. I need to cook and consume the two grocery carts of food I wheeled out last night before Frosty can appear in the lawn. Sheesh!

Well, apparently it's the only station they can play at the dentist, which is where I was yesterday. For an hour. Listening to CHRISTMAS MUSIC. They were listening to 97.1 last week, things were going great, and then "Baby Got Back" came blaring through the overhead speaker. Man I wish I could have been there...apparently there were some STRESSED mommies in the waiting room that day!

I heard any month ending in "er" was fair game for Christmas music or decorations....Seems like things are creeping up earlier and earlier. Dody

I find it interesting that in your previous post you asked about favorite Christmas activity/memory, and in this one complain about hearing Christmas musci so early in the season. Hmmm, something is amiss. :)
